Consider in 1999 86 Billion photos were taken. Fast forward to today, and it’s over 500 Billion photos.

We now upload and share over 1.8 billion photos a day. With the advent of the smartphone everyone now can take a photograph. But are you telling a story with your photograph or are you just snapping away?

Like anything in life, in order to master it, you must become a student. To snap a photo is one thing, however to take it to the creative level with the skill to do so is another.

• 70% of Facebook activity is based upon photos.
• 67% of Mom’s take photos of their kids through their smartphone.

• 85% of digital photographers use software like Photoshop, or lightroom to process their images.

INSPIRATION

My passion is being able to respond to various shooting environments to create unique and compelling images. I strive to capture a depth of feeling about a location through  street photography, people photography, landscapes, cityscapes, and at the same time, inspire students and fellow photographers to do the same.

My goal is create unique story-telling imagery through techniques in-camera, and through post processing, and assist students to recognize not only the technical aspects of making a great picture, but the importance of the artistic component, the soul of a picture as well.
